It takes most patients about 2 weeks before resuming even simple activities, so be sure to rest accordingly. Some patients may need up to 6 weeks of recovery before getting back to vigorous exercises and aerobics. Only perform light exercise once it becomes manageable.

While your body heals, you should wear compression garments to prevent swelling. If we give you any drains to use during your recovery, be sure to follow all necessary instructions.
